Passage: Isaiah 9:6

This Sunday, we will be continuing our Christmas sermon series called "And He will be called..." based on just one verse, Isaiah 9:6.

In this verse, that the prophet Isaiah wrote around 700 years before Christ, he gives four titles to the Messiah. He calls the future Messiah (1) Wonderful Counselor, (2) Mighty God, (3) Everlasting Father, and (4) Prince of Peace

Today we will be exploring Jesus as the Mighty God.

What Isaiah is trying to tell us with this title is that the future Messiah will be a rescuer & liberator.

But what might we need rescuing & liberating from?
