The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984, and South Calgary has being partnering with this ministry for over 26 years. Isn't that awesome?!?

They have been an agent of change providing physical, mental, and spiritual support for more than three decades, thanks to donors, support from the community and church volunteers, like us in South Calgary.

Every first Wednesday of the month, Jim Prichard has being putting together a group of volunteers that will serve in 2 teams: The Prep Team and the Serving Team. The Prep Team volunteers from 3 to 5PM, followed by the Serving Team volunteering from 6 to 8PM.

Besides the opportunity to do ministry together, and serve meals to those in need, we also bring a strong moral support for the staff of The Mustard Seed.

Another big need for this ministry is that we will be looking for a new Mustard Seed Volunteer Coordinator. Jim Prichard has been organizing this ministry for many years and would like to pass the baton, giving a chance to the new generation to exert their God-given gifts. Could it be that God is calling you? Pray about it!

We have open dates for serving on Wednesdays during this summer on July 7th, Aug 4th and Sep 1st. If you are interested in helping in one of these dates, or have some interest in becoming the new Mustard Seed Volunteer Coordinator, please contact the church office.
