Sermon from Craig Edwards | Worship leader: Cameron Graham
Passage: Hebrews 11:30-31, Joshua 12:1-21
The author of this letter to the Hebrews (i.e. Jews) wrote “Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For by this our ancestors were approved.” (Hebrews 11:1–2, CSB) and then, in the following verses of chapter 11, gave some examples of those who displayed this kind of faith in God and were therefore approved by God.
Today, we’re looking at Rahab who is mentioned in verses 30 and 31 of chapter 11:
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after being marched around by the Israelites for seven days. 31 By faith Rahab the prostitute welcomed the spies in peace and didn’t perish with those who disobeyed.
Let’s see what Rahab can teach us about faith in God.
