The Clueless Expert
Sermon from Pastor Russ | Worship leader: Kevin Phillips
Passage: Luke 10:25-37
It seems as though all around us people are setting limits on who they like and who they don’t; who they get along with and who they don't; the people they can associate with and the people they can’t. Chances are the people you get along with most easily are the people who are most like yourself. So what do we do about the people who aren't like us, those we might not get along with so easily? Do we have any obligation to them?
This morning we will be studying the parable of the Good Samaritan together, and it contains a powerful message for our toxic & divisive world.
Discussion/Reflection Questions:
In what ways are you practically loving those around you?
Thinking about the cost of loving your neighbour discussed in the sermon (cost of convenience, cost of time, cost of money), which of these costs do you find most difficult to 'pay'?
How are you extending the love of Christ even to people you might not like, people you have difficulty getting along with, or people who have hurt or wronged you?
Video will be available Sunday, April 11, at 10:15 am
