Passage: Psalm 37
Who will 'inherit the land'? Who will live on to enjoy the blessings of the Lord in this world? Will the wicked who plot, scheme, default on debts, use raw power to gain advantage and seem thereby to flourish? Indeed, sometimes we see wicked people who seem to be prosperous in life.
OR will the righteous, who trust in the Lord and are humble, blameless, generous, upright, peaceable, and from whose mouth is heard the moral wisdom that reflects meditation on God's law?
This psalm brings us more than just a comparison and contrast between the righteous and the wicked. It brings good and precious insights for us into how to live well and observe the good things that the Lord gives to his righteous ones.
