We are excited to announce that South Calgary Community Church will soon be relaunching our English Conversation Classes for our community! See how you can get involved.

For many newcomers to Canada, learning English is one of the most important steps toward building a new life. Without the ability to communicate, everyday tasks like shopping, working, or visiting the doctor can feel overwhelming. More than that, language is key to building friendships and finding a sense of belonging in a new country.
Our goal through these classes is not only to help people improve their English skills but also to extend the love of Jesus in a practical way. We believe that offering a welcoming environment where people can learn, practice, and connect is one of the best ways we can serve our neighbors.
This ministry will be coordinated by Susan Wang and Jennifer Ackerman, who bring a heart for people and a vision for outreach. We are currently looking for facilitators who can help lead small groups during the classes. If you enjoy meeting new people, building friendships, and encouraging others, we would love for you to consider joining the team. No teaching degree is required—just a willingness to help and a heart to serve.
Classes will be held once a week, every Tuesday at 6:00 PM here at the church.
We are praying that these classes will be a blessing to many in our community and open doors for relationships where the hope of Jesus can be shared. If you would like more information or if you are interested in volunteering, please connect with Susan or Jennifer.
