Hello South Calgary.
I have awesome news to share with you. I was looking forward to the end of December, so we could conclude our financial reports for the year, and I could share this special news with you.
I believe that you will agree with me that, even though we had good news to share in terms of ministry at our last South Calgary's members meeting, the church's financial situation was not looking very encouraging. Nor did we have any great expectations in closing the year with glowing numbers, and the impact it would have on the budget for 2023 going forward.
However, a couple weeks ago, God—who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20)—has once more surprised us with His mercy and grace.
I was astonished to receive an email from Lynn telling us that we had received a donation that had surpassed all our expectations, in the amount of $100,000.00. Yeahhh!!! This basically allows us to close 2022 with positive numbers and covers our negative budget for 2023.
We are immensely grateful to God who provides for all our needs and also, to the family who God used to bless our church. Thank you so much.
In the same way, we want to thank all those families who also gave above and beyond during the month of December. We were blessed not just with one big sum, but we have received many other large donations in December.
So, in name of the staff, elders and members of South Calgary, THANK YOU! We pray that the Lord will indeed, as He says in Malachi 3:10 "...open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure."
