Join Our New Discipleship Class

Updated: May 24

We are thrilled to announce a new discipleship class at South Calgary Community Church titled "Membership Matters." Building on our recent Sunday service series, this class will explore the importance of church membership through Thom S. Rainer’s insightful booklet, “I Am a Church Member: Discovering the Attitude that Makes the Difference.” Join us on Sundays, starting May 26, to deepen your understanding and commitment to our church community. Read bellow for more details!

Are you already a member of our church? Recently, we have been exploring a mini-series called "Membership Matters" during our Sunday Services (on May 12 and 19). This series has provided us with valuable insights into what it means to be an active and committed member of our church community.

We are excited to announce that we will be extending this theme through a new discipleship class, also titled "Membership Matters." This class is designed to deepen your understanding of church membership and its significance.

In our classes, we will be studying Thom S. Rainer’s booklet, “I Am a Church Member: Discovering the Attitude that Makes the Difference.” This awesome booklet will guide us in exploring the attitudes and commitments that define a devoted church member.

Class Details

  • Dates: Sundays, May 26, June 2, and June 9

  • Time: 11:30 AM to Noon, immediately following the service

  • Location: South Calgary Community Church

If you are interested in participating, you can obtain the booklet in the church foyer for $5. To ensure a fruitful discussion in our first class on May 26, please read the introduction and the first two chapters of the booklet beforehand.

Who Should Attend?

While this class is primarily aimed at prospective new members of South Calgary Community Church, we warmly invite anyone who has already taken this class or who is currently a church member to join us. This will be a wonderful opportunity to review, remember, and refresh our shared goals and commitments as members of our local church.

We look forward to seeing you in the class and growing together in our journey of faith and community.
