Say Hello!

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been blessed to see an unusual number of visitors joining us on Sundays. What a joy it is to see new faces among us! As a church family, this is a wonderful opportunity to live out the welcome of Christ in a simple but powerful way: by saying hello.

This Sunday, we encourage you to step out of your usual circle of friends for a few moments. Look for someone you don’t recognize, introduce yourself, and take a genuine interest in their story. A warm smile, a kind word, and a brief conversation can go a long way in making someone feel seen and valued.

And let’s not stop at just one greeting. In the following weeks, keep up the connection. Some people receive a friendly “hello” once, but then never hear from anyone again. Let’s be a church that receives people well—not just on their first Sunday, but as they continue to come.

Together, let’s make South Calgary Community Church a place where visitors quickly become friends, and friends become family.

“Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed you, to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7 (CSB)
