ESL Ministry 2025

Our ESL Ministry has quickly become a welcoming place where newcomers can learn English, build confidence, and find community. We’re grateful for how God is using this growing ministry to connect people from many cultures and show His love in practical ways.

This year, we started our ESL Ministry right after summer. We set up Practice Your English Conversational ESL program, it has continued to grow as we’ve welcomed learners worldwide with various of cultural backgrounds . We’ve seen steady attendance and strong engagement in our classes, with participants not only improving their English but also finding friendship, confidence, and a sense of belonging in our church community.

A highlight of 2025 was our series of conversation sessions focused on practical topics like finding jobs in Canada, daily basic activities grocery shopping, telephone call, community involvement, and Canadian culture. These sessions helped learners build everyday communication skills and encouraged deeper connection with participants and facilitators. We’ve also had wonderful collaboration among our facilitators, who have shown great dedication and creativity in making lessons interactive and meaningful. We have intermediate conversation group led by facilitator Helga, Yesenia, Les and Marylin, starter and children group led by Anna and Sarah. Thanks to God’s enlightenment, we have a continuously growing number of participants registered to the ministry! It’s amazing! 

Looking ahead to 2026, we hope to expand our outreach to more newcomers and possibly build up a stable facilitator team to help beginners with limited English. We would appreciate your prayers for continuous energy and wisdom for our facilitator team, as well as for open hearts among our participants as they experience God’s love through this ministry.
