Missions Team Report 2025

ree

The Missions team had a fulfilling year. Our main project was getting ESL classes launched for October. God guided us and steered us to the right people, and we saw his care in the details.

We were led to a Cooperative Ministries breakfast conference in March 2025 whereby contacts were made with other churches and ESL teachers. We even came away with 4 lessons as a door prize! We learnt some invaluable information by participating in these classes.

God opened many doors and rewarded our obedience by bringing forth our capable co-ordinators, Susan Wang and Jennifer Ackerman. May God bless them and the facilitators as they teach English and point our ESL participants to Jesus.

In March, we held a fun “Undie Sunday” whereby the congregation brought in packages of (new) underwear that was donated to the Mustard Seed. Please let the team know if you would like this event to be held again next year.

In June we held a Community BBQ  to celebrate Neighbours day. It was well attended by many families from the community and allowed our church family to make connections. It was so successful, that we would like to host two BBQs next year instead of having the Community dinners in the basement over the winter.

Please pray that these meals will be well attended and bring an opportunity to share our love for Jesus.

The Missions team have started research for a SCCC mission trip projected for 2027.

Please pray for guidance on how that might look and if it should be planned for overseas.
