Worship Ministry 2025

ree

I hope you can excuse me for using a football analogy (American football) for how I see this past year in the worship ministry. We are like a good offensive line. We are running well enough that nobody really notices what we are doing because the focus is on the quarterback and the receivers. It’s only when the o-line is not doing its job that you pay attention. At least I hope that’s the perception, I haven’t been receiving complaints lately…please provide them if we’re off course.

We are blessed to have a volunteer group composed of 9 musicians and 11 tech people. We have had opportunities to spend time together outside of our church commitment with our BBQ last June and our worship workshop in October. During the workshop we spent time reviewing and signing volunteer covenants and talking about unity as a body.

One change is the use of the big “c” word, we invited the congregation to participate in a choir for the Christmas season. This has been well received thus far and we will see what it will bring for us in 2026.

The goals for 2026 are to continue to provide live worship music for our services. A modest goal but not one without its own challenges year to year.

Please pray for:

  • Leaders to emerge from among us or to join our church and grow with us.

  • People with skills on the piano and other instruments to be available and excited to help.

  • Our tech service team to continue to serve our needs and also to grow in fellowship and spiritually.

  • Wisdom for Tawnya as she leads and designs the plays for this great “offensive line”.

Thank you,

Tawnya Hons
