Food Program Report 2025

We prayed, and the Lord answered! He graciously opened a door and gave us everything we needed to start this new ministry. This is a ministry where we can praise God in countless ways.

In early 2025, the Lord brought to our attention the practical need of food within our surrounding community, the Russian Language Ministry, and within our church family. After some discussions last winter, we began to pursue some options for meeting this real and practical need. Initially it did not seem hopeful, as many organizations were full or were already partnered with other charitable organizations. However, in the summer, we got notice that we were accepted to a food donation program: The Spinz-A-Round program through the Community Kitchen of Calgary!

We prayed that the Lord would shape this ministry, and He has faithfully done that. The Lord has led many volunteers to step up to serve in the many roles this type of ministry requires. 

In October, we began to give food away every Tuesday to families in our church, in the Russian Language Ministry and a handful of families from the community. This food program has been a blessing and relief to many already.

We are eager to see how the Lord will continue to grow and shape this ministry. 

Please pray for this ministry:

• That it will meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community

• That the Lord will give wisdom as we have opportunities to minister to those that use the program from the community

• That this ministry would grow at the perfect rate: not too slow, nor to fast
