This past Tuesday, September 20th, we had our first meeting to plan together and envision what our ESL ministry could look like. Thank you to those who came and participate. It's so good and encouraging to see the Lord moving the hearts of His people for His purpose and glory.
We plan to start classes early in October, and initially, we will focus on newcomers from South Calgary, especially some Ukrainian families attending our Russian Language Ministry, but eventually, we will extend these classes to anyone in Cedarbrae and surrounding communities.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays, and Keith Vooys will be our lead teacher. Also, Corine Vooys, Judith Fox and Ryan Fox will be co-teaching some specific sections in these classes. Please keep them in your prayers.
During our Men's Coffee Time, it was brought up that some families may need a ride to be able to get to the church on Wednesdays for the ESL classes. Would you be willing to help with this? If you have a vehicle and would like to volunteer, please contact the church office and let us know.
