Over the last few months our Sunday School ministry has once again grown significantly! We have seen another influx of families with kids, and that means that our Sunday School has been enjoying many new faces. As Sunday School families we were able to gather in Fish Creek for a hot dog roast as we started into the new semester, and the Teachers Strike in October provided an opportunity for some of our kids & youth to go bowling during what would usually be school time. It has been another great year in the Nursery! The Lord continues to add to the nursery and bring new little ones for us to love, serve, and begin to nurture their spiritual growth.   For those that may not know, our nursery serves the youngest members of our church: from babies until they start kindergarten (once in kindergarten they enter into the Sunday School group).  A typical Sunday involves time for them to freely play with each other, sing Christian children's songs,

Join us for our church decorating festivity , Friday, November 28 at 6:30pm . All ages are welcome. It’s always a great opportunity to come together as a church family and decorate God’s house. We will "spruce up" the sanctuary and lobby with trees, lights, and other festive decorations. If you have some free time, come and join us. Your helping hands would be greatly appreciated! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring the possibility of using WhatsApp to help communicate with specific groups within South Calgary Community Church. We recently invited our members and attendees to complete a short survey, and we’re thankful for the 39 people who responded — thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! Here’s what we learned: 60% of respondents said they already have and use WhatsApp. 20% said they have it installed but rarely use it. 20

This Seniors Coffee & Chat  has an added party to the mix on Friday, November 14th at 10am . This past Tuesday marked a great start for our Food Program! We’re grateful to have already served several families, and it’s encouraging to see this ministry in action as we care for one another in practical ways. As we continue, we want to make sure that no one in our church family misses out on the support available.
