Deborah and I are honored to serve within South Calgary by being involved in the Seniors Ministry. The primary activity of the Seniors Ministry is the monthly Friday gathering consisting of a “Coffee and Chat” or a “Seniors Lunch” on alternating months. The Missions team had a fulfilling year. Our main project was getting ESL classes launched for October. God guided us and steered us to the right people, and we saw his care in the details. We were led to a Cooperative Ministries breakfast conference in March 2025 whereby contacts were made with other churches and ESL teachers. We even came away with 4 lessons as a door prize! The Mustard Seed Volunteer Ministry continues to be a meaningful part of SCCC’s outreach, serving faithfully on the first Wednesday of every month. Our ESL Ministry has quickly become a welcoming place where newcomers can learn English, build confidence, and find community. We’re grateful for how God is using this growing ministry to connect people from many cultures and show His love in practical ways. This year, we started our ESL Ministry right after summer. We set up Practice Your English Conversational ESL program, it has continued to grow as we’ve welcomed learners worldwide with various of cultural backgrounds . W

Our Men’s Coffee Time continues to be a steady source of encouragement, fellowship, and practical service within our church family. Each Wednesday from 10:00 AM to noon, a group of 7–9 men gathers for coffee, conversation, and a meaningful time in God’s Word. Every week includes a devotional and discussion on relevant and significant biblical themes that help us grow in faith and wisdom. We are excited to start up the new Men's Gathering. Throughout the years, the Church has seen the need for another Men's ministry. We continue to look for God's guidance on what this looks like. As we navigate this new opportunity, we have fellowship and Bible study at the forefront of our time together. As of right now we are about 6-8 guys, alway open for more to join us. We don't have any particular goal but look to God for guidance on what He has next for this ministry. S

The Doll Knitters continue to be a beautiful expression of compassion and creativity within our church family. It's been so encouraging to see how the Lord has been blessing us and answering our prayers in this way. This new youth ministry year has brought many changes, both to our leadership team and also to our Wednesday night group in general. In many ways the youth ministry is in a season of transition. The landscape of our Wednesday nights is different than last semester, and so far this year we have a much younger group than we have in the past. But, in the midst of all the change, over the past number of months we have seen many more families with youth aged kids attending on Sund

Over the last few months our Sunday School ministry has once again grown significantly! We have seen another influx of families with kids, and that means that our Sunday School has been enjoying many new faces. As Sunday School families we were able to gather in Fish Creek for a hot dog roast as we started into the new semester, and the Teachers Strike in October provided an opportunity for some of our kids & youth to go bowling during what would usually be school time. It has been another great year in the Nursery! The Lord continues to add to the nursery and bring new little ones for us to love, serve, and begin to nurture their spiritual growth.   For those that may not know, our nursery serves the youngest members of our church: from babies until they start kindergarten (once in kindergarten they enter into the Sunday School group).  A typical Sunday involves time for them to freely play with each other, sing Christian children's songs,
